My Inspiration
By Michael K.

My biggest influence in my life is my dad because of everything he has with me and taught me. Your dad will never be anything like this. He’s fabulous. My dad is always pushing me to my best and giving me best advice!
First of all, my dad has the highest expectation of me than anyone I know. All year long he expects me to never slack off and pretty much never get a B during the school year. He wants me to get all A's and on Purple Honor Roll. He also wants me to be more involved in everything. In baseball, football, and basketball he wants me, no matter how things stack up to try every position on the field or court. He wants me to be a leader and try. My dad also is always encouraging me to try anything. If I don’t want to do it or just don’t feel comfortable, he's cool with it.
Next, my dad is always teaching me to be a strong leader and have authority. I look back on a scorching hot day when I broke my arm in my warm ups for baseball. When he heard what happened, he called me… and told me to play 3 games. Although he didn’t know how bad it hurt or that it was broken. My arm hurt as bad as your first bee sting. How thoughtful. Also when my brother kicks or punches me as hard as he can, my dad just tells me to kick or punch him back. Even though it never works. When I'm playing a sport, no matter what kind of ball it is he never lets me get tired or take a play off when I'm hurt. That's my awesome dad.
Last, my dad gives me advice on anything when I need it. Whether its math or baseball. My dad showed me at the age when I could first start remembering things, how to play baseball. He always gave me confidence that I could do anything I put my mind to.
Those are just some ways that my dad is the biggest influence of my life. I would not be the same without him, but this is just my personal opinion.
